Simply California Avocado Dessert


Recipe inspired by a sandwich created by Molly Ault, RD for the California Avocado Commission 

This light, fresh and simple snack or dessert marries avocado and peaches topped with a cottage cheese and honey sauce. Get ready for your taste buds smile with delight and with all that flavor you all get nutrition good nutrition with a good source (10% DV) of Vitamin C, K and Dietary Fiber. 


Serves: 4

1/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese
2 tsp. clover honey, or more to taste
1 ripe, Fresh California Avocados, peeled, seeded and thinly sliced
1 ripe, fresh Peach, sliced
1 fresh mint sprig for garnish

As with all fruits and vegetables, wash avocados before cutting.

  1. Puree cottage cheese and honey in food processor or blender.
  2. Place avocados and peach slices in small flat bowls.
  3. Drizzle cottage cheese and honey mixture over fruit.
  4. Top with mint sprigs.
