Margherita California Avocado Toast


I’m sure you’ve had margherita pizza, or seen a caprese appetizer plate at a party or restaurant – how about trying a Margherita Avocado Toast?! 


Serves: 1

1 slice whole wheat bread
2 slices fresh buffalo mozzarella
1/2 ripe Fresh California Avocado, seeded, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cherry tomatoes, sliced
1 basil leave, chopped
Balsamic reduction, to taste

As with all fruits and vegetables, wash avocados before cutting.

  1. Toast the bread with the mozzarella slices on top, until the mozzarella is slightly melted and the bread toasted.
  2. Place the California Avocado slices on top of the melted cheese.
  3. Top with sliced tomatoes and fresh basil.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, if desired.
