2015 All American Recipe Contest Winner – Guacamole, Dips and Salsas Category

California Avocados + five additional ingredients make the most mouthwatering and delicious guacamole that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Serves: 4

2 ripe Fresh California Avocados, peeled, seeded and quartered
1/2 lime, juice
1 Tbsp. minced shallot
1 Tbsp. (or more) minced jalapeño
1 Tbsp. (or more) cooked bacon ends and pieces
1 Tbsp. sun dried tomatoes packed in oil, chopped
1/2 tsp. tsp. kosher salt

As with all fruits and vegetables, wash avocados before cutting.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mash all ingredients together until you reach desired consistency. Serve.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with outstanding tortilla chips or just eat it with a spoon!

* Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
