One of America’s favorite sandwiches gets dressed up with the addition of delicious, creamy California Avocado slices.  It’s packed with nutrients including 51% Daily Value (DV) of Protein, 50% DV Vitamin K, 30% DV Folate, 15% DV Dietary Fiber and 15% DV of Potassium, Iron, Vitamins A and C.

8 slices tomato 8 slices sourdough bread, toasted 1/4 cup mayonnaise 4 large romaine lettuce leaves, shredded 1/2 lb. (8 slices) deli turkey 8 slices bacon 1 ripe, Fresh California Avocado, sliced into 16 thin slices
  1. Sprinkle tomato slices with salt. Spread mayonnaise on each slice of toast.
  2. On four of the slices, layer two slices of tomato, shredded lettuce, four slices of turkey, two pieces of bacon, and four slices of avocado.
  3. Top with the second piece of bread and cut in half.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with the summer’s best cherry tomatoes on the side.
