California Avocado and Hatch Chile Bagel and Toast Topper


This seasonal variation of a popular California Avocado spread for toast and bagels features roasted Hatch chile - it’s perfect for late summer breakfasts.


Serves: 4

1 ripe, Fresh California Avocados, seeded and peeled
1 Hatch chile, roasted, seeded, peeled and diced
1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 Tbsp. minced cilantro (optional)
1 oz. queso fresco, (optional)
Salt to taste

As with all fruits and vegetables, wash avocados before cutting.

  1. Mash avocado, Hatch chile and lime juice together in a medium bowl.
  2. Fold in cilantro and queso fresco, if using.
  3. Salt to taste.
