2014 Carpinteria Avocado Festival

It’s almost time for the 28th annual Carpinteria Avocado Festival!

The avocado festival, known for its location in picturesque downtown Carpinteria, draws avocado-loving attendees from all over the world for fun, family friendly attractions, including:

  1. Booths and businesses selling avocado varieties, avocado ice cream, avocado honey, avocado tri-tip sandwiches, avocado beer, avocado oil, avocado breads and of course, guacamole!
  2. Arts and crafts booths offering avocado goodies such as avocado magnets, avocado ear rings, avocado t-shirts, avocado art and more
  3. Live music from local bands throughout the duration of the festival
  4. Contests – including the world famous “Largest Avocado Contest” as well as the “World championship of Guacamole”
  5. Activities for kids including face painting, avocado decorating and more

We always attend and exhibit, providing avocado scoopers, recipes and more. Look for us near the entrance on Linden street, we’ll be near the agricultural tent which will be featuring avocado history, information and more about the California Avocado.

A Few Simple Rules

  • No Pets - Free Doggie Daycare will be run by volunteers from Deserving Dogs Rescue and Rehabilitation group. It is located at 5100 Carpinteria Ave, under the Torrey Pine. Saturday and Sunday only. 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • No Bike Riding
  • No Skateboard Riding
  • No Roller Blading
  • No Canned/Bottled Beverages
  • Smoking ONLY in Designated Areas
