Garden Fresh Tomato and California Avocado Salsa
Meal Makeover Moms, Liz Weiss, MS, RD and Janice Newell Bissex, MS, RD, add a farm-fresh twist to one of their favorite condiments--salsa.
||ripe Fresh California Avocado, peeled, seeded and cut into 1/4-inch cubes
||diced grape tomatoes
||coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
||finely diced red onion
||Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

- In a large bowl, gently stir together the avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, onion, lime juice and chili powder until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
