Downtown Disney Celebrates
California Avocado Week

Celebrate the second annual California Avocado Week at Downtown Disney by sampling delicious dishes featuring California Avocados prepared by some of the top Downtown Disney executive chefs. The fruit, in season now, will be at the center of the daily chef demonstrations and guacamole contests.

Each day, July 1 through July 7, a chef from one of Downtown Disney’s premiere restaurants will take center stage, demonstrating culinary creations starring Fresh California Avocados. Attendees will be invited to taste the featured dish.

Following the cooking demonstration will be an interactive “Guac Off” competition where Downtown Disney guests will have the chance to win a $100 Downtown Disney gift card and an $85 California Avocado gift pack. Runner ups will receive a California Avocado gift pack.

Throughout the week, restaurants in Downtown Disney will feature special California Avocado menu items and Sephora will offer refreshing avocado facials at their store.

Free interactive public events commence at 5:30 p.m.

Event kick-off - Sunday, July 1, 2012, with activities throughout the week:

 - 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. – Chef Demonstrations with Downtown Disney Executive Chef (see Chef Demo Calendar below)
 - 6:10 – 6:45 p.m. – Guacamole Contest with participating audience members
 - 2:00 – 4:00 PM – Mini California Avocado facials at Sephora
 - Live entertaining by DJ Wendy on the Main Stage in front of ESPN Zone
