Worked for over 55 years in reclamation agriculture, making unproductive land flourish and thrive all the way from the Middle East to Morro Bay. Bought the 348-acre Morro Creek Ranch in 1978. Sees the tremendous potential of the avocado and loves ideas that allow for consumers to experience them in different ways. Adventurous and experimental by nature. Opened an on-site, open-air retail store, La Palapa, with his wife, Luba, that sells cooking oils, hand creams and other alternative avocado products. Currently participates in local agritourism, offering visitors a chance to tour the grove and learn about California Avocados.

AVOCADO Ranch, a Must See Stop on the way to Morro Bay

YOU MUST STOP IN - IT IS SUCH A TREAT! When you drive from San Luis Obispo (I think it's over HWY1) to Morro Bay, do not pass by this wonderful Avocado Farm and Country Store. Everytime I visit my sister in SLO we make this trek, just so I can buy some wonderful avocados (almost the size of watermelons) to take home to Arizona. In AZ we get the small mexico grown variety that just cannot compare! The wonderful offerings of dressings, lotions, refreshments and the beautiful groves of trees is Magnificent! I look forward to this trip because I get to visit the Staller Avocado Ranch each time, the bonus is the lovely ride to Morro Bay to see the ocean and enjoy the seafood too!
