AVOCADO PLUs

PLU numbers are used to properly identify the size of avocados sold at retail. These numbers allow for an accurate front end ring for pricing of avocados. PLU numbers for organically grown avocados are the same except for the addition of the number 9 preceding the regular four-digit code. For example, the PLU number for an organic size-48 Hass avocado is 94225.
