Grilled Ham, California Avocado and Gouda Panini

Yield: 2 sandwiches 2 3.5 oz. round herb focaccia rolls 6 oz. whole muscle ham, thinly sliced 1 Fresh California Avocado*, pitted and thinly sliced 2 slices aged Gouda 1 oz. horseradish sauce
  1. Preheat Panini Grill to 375°F.
  2. Slice each focaccia roll in half horizontally, and separate the halves.
  3. Divide ham, avocado and cheese evenly into two portions. On the bottom half of each focaccia roll, layer half the cheese, avocado and ham. Spread horseradish sauce on top half of each roll, and assemble each sandwich.
  4. Set each sandwich into the Panini Grill and press down gently. Grill 1-2 minutes. Check for grill marks and toasted color, then remove from grill, slice in half and serve.

*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
